Definitely new to thins whole forum thing but I'm very interested in doing this work myself and this seems like the place to get smart educated advice. I just purchased a 75 cb750 everything is stock  except for the exhaust. Once I think of ideas I want to start I will post some questions for sure.but for now just wanted to say hello.

Thats a nice looking, stock survivor. You should download a manual from here and go thru the 3k Service interval to discover the condition and status of the bike. Many important wear items get overlooked and if a bike has been sitting, a thorough and complete cleaning of the internals is a huge dividend in reliability.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

Thank you definitely going to do that before I even think about upgrading and what not. I have a Clymer manual I believe is how it's spelled. Haven't really gone through it to see how involved it is.
