Spontaneous Combustion?
« on: April 17, 2015, 12:41:52 AM »
My friend says he was in 60 mph rush hour traffic and all of a sudden there was a fire in the passenger seat next to him.  He maintains it had nothing to do with any cigarette ash.  When he swatted it out it spread around like and accelerant.  It was a greasy  condiment that caught on fire.

Well, thankfully his wife didn't spontanously combust.
That leaves a much larger mark.

I wish we had rush hour traffic that moved at 60 mph, that would avoid a lot of French Spontaneous Combustion.

I had an experience with this many years ago. I was refinishing a gun stock using linseed oil. Despite knowing the dangers of improperly disposing of the rags, I missed one. It was wadded up in the basement. Got up the next morning to a hazy smoke throughout the house. I finally tracked the source, pulled it apart and found the interior glowing red hot! Scary.. a good deal more careful now.  :-[

I'll have to ask if he saw Jesus when it was burning. I've heard of the burning bush, Maybe he's traversed into burning butter grease.
