'70 CB750 KO fork seal washer/circlip.
« on: April 15, 2015, 08:48:13 am »
Doing a rebuild on my '70 CB750 KO forks. Upon removing the seals, the Honda parts lists seems to show a thin washer (which is not present/missing from my forks) above the seal, and below the 47mm circlip. Honda calls this washer a "backup ring", part # 51452-319-000, and is NLA. If this is needed, does anyone know where I can get replacements?

Also, one of the 47mm circlips was damaged by a previous owner (had a really good time getting that out!), and again NLA from Honda. A supplier in Japan wants nearly $20/pair, plus shipping (outrageous!), so I'm also looking for a source for these.

Thanks in advance!

For the circlip, try eBay or Fastenal.

^agreed for the clips. Got mine at local fastenal for cheap. As for the washers, they are available through cmsnl.com, as well as Yamiya. For another option, omitting the washer, Honda made thicker seals, part number 91255-341-305, which I used on both of my K1 forks without washer.
