79 CB750f swing arm.
« on: April 15, 2015, 02:05:53 PM »
I'm having a hard time remembering how the swingarm goes back in my 79 CB750f. Specifically the two washers/spacers.  I bagged them with the caps which tells me they go INSIDE the frame on either side between the caps and the frame.  Is this correct?  I'm having a really hard time getting it all in there.  I'm not sure if it's because of my disabilities (my left arm doesn't work very well) or if they just don't go in there.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I replaced these bushings on my cb750k5 but can't remember where those caps went. Ill check it tomorrow to see. I do remember that it wasn't an easy job with 2 good arms! Not sure if the F is the same, but i think there is a motor mount to loosen that helps.

The caps are a no brainer.  I'm concerned about the washers.

Are you really on a 79? DOHC... just sayin. But anyways if you are, check the Honda parts fiche for the parts. That might help.

You may want to loosen up the big engine mounting bolt next to it, the frame is flexible to some extent
