Topic: 1976 750 Supersport rear brake caliper assembly question

I am putting the rear caliper back together and thought I took good pictures but I can't figure out where this clip goes and don't see it on the diagram.  Any help would be appreciated. 

The third pictures is where I think it might go

Part #23 , looks like the right place.

23 is the caliper cover which is this part

Can't help ya then. Did you take it off and forget where it goes? Looks more like a retaining clip for a brake line on a car. Don't see that part in the fiche.

I just rebuilt the caliper on my '75 F, looks like that clip is in the right spot according to the pic you posted.

Actually I take that back, I thought that was the clip that attaches to the bars that run through the pad. I dont know what that is, I dont have one on mine. That actually looks like the clip that attaches the lock to the gas tank panel that opens up to access the cap.

Dude.   I'm such a freaking idiot.  You are 100% correct.  Somehow it got in the wrong bag and this is my first ever bike so until you mentioned it I had no idea.  That's excactly what it is.   Thank you so much.   I really appreciate it
