76 CB550 Oil Filter Removal
« on: April 21, 2015, 10:13:22 AM »
Totally stupid question I'm sure, but what is the trick to remove the oil filter inside the housing?  I see a clip of some kind down the middle, but right now it just spins and before I do something stupid a screw it up I figured I would ask.

Thanks,
Again, silly question I'm sure.

Ok, I will give it a good tug.  I didn't want to yank to hard and rip the filter.

Thanks.

There's a washer and a spring under that filter, just be sure not to lose them when you pull the filter out.

And don't worry about ripping the filter since you should be replacing it anyway.
