I was wondering if you guys have noticed a shortage of certain parts on Ebay this season as opposed to the past few.

For instance, last year when I wasn't in need of an exhaust system or luggage rack, they were all over the place.

This year, I had to part with over 60 bucks for a luggage rack and the only original exhaust pipes I've seen were an nice set of 4-2 pipes that went for almost 500!

In fact, I've noticed that the typical search for cb650 or cb 650 used to yield 8-9 pages of entries and this year it's 3-5.

I think that boneyards cashed out the last few years and now they are running out of parts.

What do you think?

It doesn't have to be that way. CB750 would give 12 pages a couple of years back and now you get over 30. Maybe the people is simply riding and leave the maintenance and spare selling for the winter...

I find that's always the case with eBay. I can find all kinds of stuff- until I need it!  >:(

And it's always dirt cheap ... until you need it and then someone else wants it too.

Yeah, I realize that there's more goodies for 750 than 650, but this is what I own.

Man, Raul -- you better be careful -- If we ever square off at the starting line yer gonna hafta deal with my newly rebuilt 650 and she's running like the devil!!   ;D

PS:  I really would like a 550 or 750 just because it's got the classic styling I want -- in the meantime bring it on
