1975 XL350 Long Haul.
« on: April 20, 2015, 05:30:28 AM »
So, I finally got the 33mm carburetor on the XL350 tuned in and did a 200+ mile ride yesterday on one spark plug....Woohooo. The bike did fine, but with the air screw out , I can only top out at 75 as opposed to 85 before. But I like not having to change spark plugs every 100 miles too. With only 5100 miles on the clock in 40 years, this way by far the longest ride ever for this bike.
So, with this, I plan to take a two or three day trip on the XL350. More to come on this trip.

Nice looking bike!  I'd love to find one of those like that some day.

Thanks.
They really are out there, but you have to keep a look out and be ready to jump on it.
I found this one on my local Clist. Called just a few mins after listing and told him I would buy without any haggling. Best $500 spent. In a shed for several years and as you see it other than 33mm carb, pipe and cone, and larger sprocket and tires.
But, I do spend more time on Clist than most.

Wow, you stole that!  ;D
The only ones I've seen come up around here weren't worth the money or the effort.
But as you say, time on CL can pay off!
