$200 CL buy
« on: April 26, 2015, 06:39:06 AM »
Picked her up at 6am this morning for $200. Sitting in a machine shed since 2007. Rolls, has good rubber but tubes are toast. Rats nest in batt compartment. Tank clean inside. Black paint starting to come off motor. For 200 cant go wrong. Wife thinks Im flipping but i kinda want to keep both. Is it crazy to have two Rideable motorcycles?

Looks like a great buy. Can't say I ever got one that early in the morning though  ;D With the left side petcock I am guessing a 75 or 76 ?  How many miles on the ole' ticker ?  As far as quantity the more the merrier, always good to have a few spares  ;)

You stole that thing!  Great find!!  Having too many bikes is akin to having 'too much horsepower' or 'too much fun' - no such thing.   ;D

Might look like one of these wonderful foam aftermarket Uni filters that came in a bike I got -   :o   Glad I didn't do too much cranking before I checked.

$200 Gus ??? What a deal ;) Nothing wrong with 2 bikes, very few members here have only one bike. I myself have four Honda's and a Harley and that's a drop in the bucket to what some members have. Isn't that right Eric ;D

Dude says replaced clutch

What a bargain.

You can easily change clutch without removing engine.

Have you checked engine number to see if correct for year as F2 had black engine as standard.

Is there a way to safely test starting the bike with no battery?

Use your HD battery for the test. If it wont fit in the battery box, just set it on the footpeg.

In the meantime, order a battery here...
