Still need help, 76 cb750a
« on: April 26, 2015, 05:11:37 PM »
I am in the middle of a frame off restoration. I started with a stock 76 cb750a. I put a '77 K cam in it, everything else is stock. I put a set of pd42b carbs on it, will only run if fully choked. Tore the carbs down (completely) made sure all jets and passages were clean, after that, same issue. I tried a set of pd41a's (after cleaning them), same issue. I checked the valve clearances, all good. What am I doing wrong? I have trouble believing that little of a change would require bigger jets than a 115 or am I wrong?

Any advice would be much appreciated...
