Topic: No bracket for Ignition switch 74 cb550

Just started my first restoration project.  Found the first bike I ever owned, 1974 CB550.  Now starts the fun\work
The bike came minus the ignition switch along with a multitude of other things, but those will come later.  I purchased an OEM switch\key set, but there is no bracket to attach it to.   I can't find the part online.   Any suggestions what goes here?  See attached picture.

Same part on 500 and 550 from 71 through76. It bolts to that hole in the square plate

 Don't pay $42 for it! Keep an eye on the classifieds here and/or place a wanted ad. Someone will help you out. There are also aftermarket, sort of "boomerang" shaped brackets that place it up on the handlebar. Only available used, AFAIK.

  Just finished my 74 and had the same problem.  I used a universal aftermarket ignition bracket meant for mounting on a bar clamp bolt and welded it to the Dow tube when I was doing the other frame welding.
