Whats your emulator setup?
« on: April 29, 2015, 05:21:52 pm »
I'm rebuilding a set of 750 forks with straight rate springs and race tech emulators.

I'm about 155lbs and wondering what setup you dudes are using (oil wt, oil height, emulator preload, etc).

Ive gone over stueveone's post and i'm using it as a base line, and Ive already done the same set up on my 500 but wondering if it could be better.

340lbs? I'm jealous!
Setup for my 405 lb 750 w/ 170 lb rider:
15w fork oil
.80 Racetech springs
70mm spacer (16mm  preload & 35mm sag)
140mm oil level (w/ Goldwing forks)
emulator- 4 turns (blue spring)

I've tried longer spacers with less sag but had problems with chatter, this setup works better so far.

Thanks for the input. Ive had some chatter issues on my 500 but nothing too bad. For some reason i went with a 10w oil and           I set my oil height a little too high.

How in God's name did you settle on 63.8mm spacers Brent? 63.9 were way to stiff and 63.7 way to soft? Sorry....I couldn't resist. ;D ;D

You know we don't measure with a yardstick here.  ;D
