'74 CB360 Bobber project

I rescued this poor little dump on the side of the road for $400... someone had the grand idea to throw away all the useful parts and wiring...

I don't know why the pictures appear upside down..
at any rate: I discovered that the PO hadn't cut any wires before the plug that connected the alternator to everything else, and it came with a regulator and rectifier and the wiring attached to those two pieces. I went to work making a quick wire harness so I could get it running. I borrowed a bunch of stuff from the CB750 that I'm working on, mostly because those pieces are 44 years old and could do with some replacements.

It needed a battery box, and I scored this perfect fit from my parents' garage.

It looks like the only place that the box would fit (without rubbing the chain) is right under the seat. So I made a couple holes in bottom of it that will fit right over the rear fender mount. I'll have to fashion a mount that holds the front part of the box up.

A few more holes for the wiring to come out of it and for the ignition switch from my other CB..

It didn't have much for wiring so I had to make it all, which didn't turn out so bad. I just put a chain on it.
It needs rear engine mounts made for it. My brother has a plasma cutter in the shop, I'll get over to his place one of these times and make some engine mounts for it. The space here in the frame is where I'll try to mount the battery box.. The chain makes it harder because it takes up some of the space I would like to use.
