Anybody know if there were any differences in the cams from early to later models?

To my knowledge, the American models all came with the same cam. There is a German cam for the CB650 that significantly reduces hp due to their emissions laws, but other than that, there are no other differences that I know of. Check with Volker_P on http://hondacb650.com to make sure.

I believe all North American 650 cams are the same spec. One of the reasons they have become pricey and scarce on the used parts market.
