honda nighthawk 700s carb issue
« on: May 10, 2015, 08:37:07 AM »
my bike will not start unless it is fully choked then after it warms up it still won't run unless I leave it fully choked, does anyone know what the air/fuel mixture settings are for this particular bike? I have been told that it is 2 1/2 turns out and have been told that it is 2 5/8 turns out, I don't want to blow my engine on my bike. If anyone knows the correct air/fuel mixture setting or has any manuals like clymers on this particular bike please help a fella out. Thanks very much.

Not sure of the correct setting(although 2 1/2 seems correct if I recall) but the symptoms you are describing sound more like clogged pilot jets.  Has the bike been sitting for some time?  The difference between  2 1/2 and 5//8 will not harm the bike.  Welcome...Larry
