Mike Rieck gets my vote. Anyone who has the time and funds can turn a turd into a beauty. I can take credit for a whole 4 months of ownership. Mike has had his bike for 30 years. Mine was out of a hobbiest curosity and never ridden one before, I thought it would be fun. Several people have them because they are easy to come by and parts are everywhere for cheap. Mike obviously has and had several other bikes and had many chances and reasons to get rid of the aging CB750. He didn't. He kept his and continues to keep it out of passion for these old relics. He and others like him have my respect. They are the true SOHC heros.

Keeping a bike for 30 years is rare, keeping one running that long even more rare, but keeping one looking and running as well as his does and is -

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!

Mike, thanks again for the input, advice, and continued inspriration.

Best Regards,
Ilbikes/Gordon

No doubt, there are a lot of 750Ks that are really impressive but, I don't see as many of the
750Fs and I feel that they should get recognition as well. MRjeck's 750F is a great bike and has
quite a bit of work done on it to get it to where it is now and he should get credit for that. Also,
when you look at a bike that is basically stock, you have to agree that those owners should get
credit as well. When you think of the great number of members that we have (and steadily
growing), the vast experience combined with talent and the growing number of SOHC4 bikes that
are being restored or built, it's gotta take your breath! In my opinion, every one deserves some
        kind of recognition.

Boy...I don't quite know what to say after that Gordon except thank you. I kept my CB no matter how I was struggling for money and, being on my own at an early age, was unfortunately often. I bought her with money received from my mother's early and unforseen death. I would sell a limb before I parted with her. Once again thank you....no matter what the outcome is here I feel like a winner.

I said it last month and I'll say it again. FWIW, ALL ARE WORTHY of the winning vote, but the Million Dollar CB is a modern version of a classic superbike IMHO. After seeing pics of reworked cylinder heads from this gentleman, and the quality of the work done to the bike overall, that's gotta be one BAD CB.

After alot of thought I went with Sparty.  MRieck's bike is sweet, it looks like it could go head-to-head with any crotch-rocket out there!  I went with Sparty, I guess because I've always been a fan of silver, and the bike is just so clean  It looks very refined, but tough, too.

Tough choice!  All are excellent bikes!

I don't even have a bike suitable to be in the running for BOTM and I'm getting
                  a bit anxious myself.
