Guys, I certainly appreciate the compliments on the K4. I enjoyed every part of the rebuild and want to do another one soon. I've got a 1972 TC125 Prospector dual-range I want to do next since I've got almost all of the NOS parts for it.
It's been said here, there are no losers. These bikes are just so darn reliable and everyone knows them. I haven't been anywhere that people did not say "I had one , or I knew someone who had one".
Thanks for the votes and I'm honored to be among this company. I voted for Rick's because he can take 100% credit for it's current condition. I got lucky and found a bike that hadn't been wrecked for a good price. $8,000 and 200 hours later this is the result. Not quite the million-dollar piece, but I'm very happy about the decission and the journey - then again the destination ain't bad - I love riding this one.
Again thanks to all who contribute here. Thanks for the information and enthusiasm. This is the best damn hobby on the planet!!
Regards,
Gordon (I love bikes)
