Yep. I also tried grounding the second wire to frame. The solenoid itself doesnt have to be attached to the frame for testing purposes, correct?

I appreciate all the help

Battery NEG to frame
Battery POS to Solenoid (yellow/red or Black)
Solenoid Yellow/Red or Black to Ground (alternate of above)

Solenoid will activate.

Then connect Starter motor to Solenoid. Re-attach Solenoid to Battery POS. starter should fire.

If you get this far, whichever wire you used above from Solenoid to Ground, connect to your push button.

Got it.

I will try it with the start motor and battery unplugged first. Black will be to positive terminal of battery, then yellow/red to the same ground as the battery cable.

Thanks for sticking with me, I will let you know what I find out.

The results:

Set sol on ground. Disconnected all wires. Hooked a jumper from black to positive terminal on battery. Then a jumper from the yellow/red to the same bolt that ground the negative bat terminal. Nothing clicked, but i did get a spark when touched the wire to the bolt.

It was actually the old one that worked once I cleaned all the contacts. Cranks like a champ and the button works lovely.

Went out this morning to crack it over and start it and got nothing! Just replaced all the plugs so will have to see whats up.

If it's not one things its another.

Thanks again for the help.

Brand new. When i uncooked hooked the green red from the harness, would that need to be 're grounded (or energized) as a safety switch of any kind?

I don't know a lot about the color codes for the Honda. Just know a bit about wiring and some bikes did have safety switches, E.A it possible that the solenoid only gets power of the bike is in neutral. If it was working and then you plugged it back in to the stock harness that could be it

That's the Neutral switch. You may have interrupted the circuit from allowing the bike to fire. Try again, but pull in the clutch lever.

Cranked it over. No spark. Pulled in clutch lever, no spark. Must've been a switch of some kind! Guessing it needs a ground.

Tried old plugs too. Nothing. Started looking at wires going into coils with test lights...do they ever get constant power? Or only when elec ignition tells it too? Hoping im still just not completing a safety circuit somewhere.

Ok so traced wires from dyna ignition and its been installed exactly as instructed. I am getting no power at black/white wires (supposed to be 12v) would this indicate a safety switch problem? Im still thinking my red/green wire might be to blame

BLK/WHT carries 12v from the KILL switch. Can you confirm that the right handlebar is getting 12v on the BLACK thru your harness? Then, there should be a bullet connector coming out of the handlebar in BLK/WHT. Test the handlebar side with key on, switch set to RUN. If no 12v, no spark.

Heres your wiring diagram in color:
http://manuals.sohc4.net/cb750k/technical_reference/WD750K8.jpg

You'll notice the GREEN/RED wire comes from the Neutral switch and runs thru the stator plug, to the Diode. Find the open connection at the diode under the left side panel and reconnect the GREEN/RED. This will activate your Neutral light.

Sometimes a night does wonders. Checked toggle and nothing to black white. Reset connections and worked the toggle switch back and forth a few times and blame. Power to wires and spark like crazy. When the wife and kids get up i will get to start it now with timing set.

I also noticed that the blue wire leading to the coils from the dyna was unplugged...i might be firing on 4 cylinders today!
