Why did you replace the button to begin with? The button shouldn't really affect the cranking speed too much cause its just the control to the solenoid which is a relay. The main power to the starter never goes through the switch, just fromvthw battery through the solenoid and to the starter.

Best way way to wires solenoid from my experience is by giving constant power to it. The button provides the ground when pushed down and completes the circuit. If you wired it thee other way it'd probably burn the wire from the high amperage

Don't really understand what you mean but if your switch has two wires do this. Make sure your selenoid getting 12volts as soon as you turn on the key. it should have two wires beside the lager wires that go to battery and starter. Wire one of these with 12volts after the ignition switch.

So then on your switch/ starter button, run a good ground to one wires then the other wire to the ground on the solenoid. So now when you push the button it will ground out the selenoid

This problem is inside the solenoid, not with the button or its wiring. Since crossing the studs gives good cranking, clearly the solenoid's internal high current contacts are not closing properly: the poor connection will be producing a lot of heat whenever you use it this way.
Remove the solenoid, disassemble the stud end, file clean flat contact surfaces on the stud contacts and switching bar. Clean the moving parts as well as you can. Reassemble and it should be OK. Replace it if it's badly burnt or seized mechanically.

Ok one more time. There's two large wires one the solenoid  one to battery positive thee other to the starter.

Which leaves the two smaller wires on the solenoid. One gets power after the ignition switch. And thee other goes to the starter button, which ground out the solenoid complets circuit

That's the way it was probably already hooked up. You just need clean up the solenoid

If it's a factory start button it makes the ground when you push it.

Heres what i found today. Yellow/red and green/red. If i look correctly at the diagram, yellow red should be power all time, green red ground (through switch). My yellow/red was capped in the harness. Green red looks to be plugged into a ground connector.

Should i wire yellow red to a power after ignition, then green red to my switch and frame?

Yellow/Red comes form the START button and delivers 12v to the solenoid. The Green/Red comes from the factory NEUTRAL switch (providing the ground when in Neutral). The 2 large studs are wired to the battery POS and the other to the starter motor.

Easy.

Im pretty sure this goes against what everyone else is saying.

Here's what i tried tonight. Hooked green red to direct power and used button for a ground, nothing. Green red to power and yellow red to frame...nothing. green red plugged into harness, yellow red to ground thru button nothing. 12v through button to yellow red. Nothing.
