Hi,

I just picked up a long awaited 1974 cb550 about 2 weeks ago.
It has a 4 into 1 and is all original apart from the pipe. It came with 25,000 miles.

I have ordered a few new parts like a new lossa muffler, petcock, new air filter, new front brake pads, sump plug and washer, new cable set and some clubman bars with mirrors.

I plan on some light cosmetic mods and will be getting new tyres etc. I will need to get it tuned soon as its got a terrible idle and not alot of go down the bottom of the rev range.

I am based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Welcome from Brisbane Bryce, we have a few members here from Victoria..  Which muffler are you looking at..?  Is it a reverse megaphone one in stainless..?  We like pictures around here too....  Oh, you've come to the right place...

Yeah its the reverse cone type.
