To be honest, I know squat about electrical, but in the "Download Motorcycle Manuals" there is an electrical color code chart and an electrical systems service manual.

Jowen---Try turning the keyswitch on and turn the headlight on, then check for voltage at and through each fuse.
Those fuses are supplied current through the headlight switch and the ignition switch. Is your bike equipped so that the lights come on automatically with the key on? (headlite always on?) They work differently.

It's a 1976 cb550f lights always on. We aren't getting power to the fuse for headlight or taillight.

How many fuses does your bike have? On the later models the headlight and tail use 2 seperate ones. Which would narrow the fault finding down if both circuits are affected.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

There are separate fuses for tail and head lights. Both aren't getting power

Ignition switch? try the park light position and see if you get anything.

New ignition and still doesn't work in run. Lights all work in park position. Anyone know where to look next?
