New member in northern California
« on: May 12, 2015, 01:29:26 AM »
Hello all.  Joined the board as my interest in the SOHC Honda Fours has been rekindled.   I've yet to own an SOHC/4 Honda, but have lusted after them off and on for decades.  I've owned several bikes, but never an SOHC/4 Honda.  Had a '73 CB350 twin when in HS.  Had friends with a CB500/4, a CB400 Hawk twin, and a DOHC 450 twin.  First road bike I worked on and rode was my Grandpa's rootbeer brown CB200 twin.

I'm currently bikeless (aside from '75 MX400B and '73 Husky 400CR projects that may go away).  Hoping to pick up an SOHC/4 CB750 project (preferably an 'F' Super Sport variant) sometime in the next year or so as funds and opertunity allows.  It's time for another street bike, and it might as well be the bike I've wanted for decades.

Welcome to SOHC4. Where abouts are you in north Cali? I'm in Modesto. Keep your eyes peeled to Craiglist and you will find one. I usually check statewide and they pop up all the time. You may have to go on a bit of a roadtrip but it will be worth the wait if you really want one of these bikes. Are you looking for a project or a turn key ride? They are out there but you gotta be quick because the good deals usually don't last very long.

Thanks for the welcome guys.  I'm in the Santa Rosa, Ca area.  I'm in the researching/gathering info/saving $ phase right now.  I will be looking for a project.  There's some 750's in my local CL now.  A couple are tempting, but I'm not in a position to buy yet.
