server went down at work so i have some time to work on the bike today.  first time in months.

Anyways I am kind of reposting a question I had that was never answered which is switching out the foot controls on a cb350f for a cb400f foot control.  I like them cause with lower bars they feel much better.  So I found a good set on ebay and they are coming my way now.  It has all the footpegs , mounting, linkage, and shifter.  So I know I will need to switch out the brake pedal with a cb400f pedal.  Now here comes the questions. Is there anything else I will have to switch out?  Can I keep my brake pedal spring with the new pedal or will I need to find a cb400f one?  what about the cb350f brake shaft can I keep that ? And maybe we will talk about the kickstarter fix when it comes to that time but if anyone has any info on that I would be appreciated.

As always I know the cb350f and cb400f are very very similar but different in their own ways hence why I ask

cheers

James

further investigation is the pedal works on the cb350f arm with spring.  problem i am running into is that the cb400f foot pedal that goes up for the kick starter wont go up because it hits against the break pedal.

any thoughts?

the only progress I am seeing is putting three washers in between the foot peg and the frame. that allows me to swing the pedal up for the kickstarter but also the limiter nut on the pedal then doesn't make great contact and the engine guard becomes very close

...maybe look into trying a brake pedal from a '76 (possibly other years too) 550f?
If it works good, it looks good...
