So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Hopefully it will be back on the road, soon - just keep getting side-tracked with everything else that needs done!   >

Spare me that nonsense about garden and kids. One look at your car, and I know exactly what your priority is. NICE!

Hey Cqyqte, Not sure if I have ever mentioned it before, but I love the looks of this bike. I admire the lines (curves) every time I see it. Truly a work of art.

I noticed you recently moved your foot controls from forward to rear. Like to hear your thoughts regarding that. Like... Why? Boredom? Long winter in the northern provinces? What do you like better?

The old US muscle cars look really nice in original shape. I have seen to many Mustangs, Chargers, Challangers, Chevells, Corvettes and similar over here whith horrible "upgrades". "High jackers" and way to wide rear tires were very popular here 30-35 years ago.
I like to watch old TV shows from first half of the 70's where the old US cars can be seen.

Below my bike waiting to be synched. The hoses do not match the thin vacuum nipples on my TMR's, need to connect with 3mm ID hoses. My wifes flowers came back in when spring suddenly went cold. She found my chilli growing lamp, HPS 400W.

Either position was comfortable for me, however forwards placed your feet so far apart to clear the stator housing and the points cover that you felt like a woman in birthing sturips.  With the rearsets/mids you have better preparation when approaching railway tracks or bumps.  The rearsets are less stressful on longer rides.

Thanks for the compliments ;)

I guess that's why you would typically see a v-twin in a bike like yours. But that is exactly why I like it so much. It makes it very unique. I'm 6'4" with long legs (my knees are bent on a stock 750 with my feet flat on the ground) and I'd like to figure out just how uncomfortable I would be on a bike like this. I'd like to eventually go in this direction with one of my future builds but would also like to make something that I can actually ride around town (without my knees hitting my front teeth).

unfortunately don't have a pick of both the SOHC's uncovered. But behind the RT1B there's a K6 and a K8 with sidecar. Use your imagination.

Stoli, if you decide to build a 750 with forwards give me a shout I have the forwards tucked away for the future.  With your statue they would work well...

Thanks Cqyqte.  I have 2 more projects in the works and at my current rate of progress, it may be awhile before I get to the hardtail, but I will definitely keep that in mind.

And now, back to the thread....   Annual winter storage leaks are fixed (caliper and fork seal this year) and both bikes are running smooove.
