Servie/replacement of the camshaft train
« on: May 18, 2015, 05:03:11 AM »
I have a CB 750-k4 and trying to get it back to its former glory. I cant find any specifications for serviceable limits for the cam chain, maximum length, chain tensioner, roller and guide.

They are not so expensive but I want to hold down the Money i spend.

if the rollers have any chips or chunks missing, replace.
if the guide and tensioner look beat up, replace.
I do not know the stretch limit of the cam chain, but a new endless camelia cam chain is peanuts compared to a busted old one and a head rebuild  ;)

If you have not, please look into purchasing Hondamans '750 book'.  It will show you the way  ;D
