Thanks!  Went to put them on last night and one of the posts had broken a little when I cut the original clip off so then replacement clip isn't grabbing to hold it in place.  Should I use an adhesive on the back of the badge so it doesn't fall off or maybe try to make a new post to secure the clip to?

Also is there a recommended process to smooth out some of the bends in the tank badges so they fit the contour of the tank?  There are a couple of bends from when I pulled them off to paint.  Thinking of taping the tank and then just heating and gently bending them a bunch till they match then remove the tape and clip them on.

I would cement in a replacement mount tab. Otherwise the adhesive may either fail or damage the paint (if you need to remove the badge for whatever reason).

The badges come flat new. I would recommend bending them carefully. Some heat may help prevent breakage.

Labeling my aftermarket controls


Modifying and rebuilding the right hand switch to have electric start, kill switch, but no headlight control as this is now on the left


Modifying a switch for the headlight and getting everything wired up




Waiting on a few parts and then need to build my seat.  The end is finally in sight!

Rear turn signals were bent so I hammered some deep sockets in to even them out



Rebuilding front brake


Got the carbs back on

PROGRESS!!!



Left to do:
--Front brake is still squishy. Rebuilt MC and found out it was too corroded inside to seal so I bought a new MC but brakes are still squishy.  Bled brakes some bubbles came out but not a lot.  Wrapped a rubber band around brake lever to hold it open over night hoping that will allow bubbles to come out and will wake up to solid brakes tomorrow.
--Install brake light.
--Figure out why headlight wont turn on.  Light works and wiring looks fine so I am puzzled
--Build seat and have it upholstered.

Hey that's lookin good! The black pipes with the very dark tank that looks almost black looks kinda mean.  If my pipes don't clean up reasonably well I may end up painting them black too.

DONE

Finally finished everything up this week, fired it up for the first time since disassembly, ran through all the gears, and it runs like a dream!

Special thanks to everyone here on the forums for helping me when I got stuck trying to sort things out.  My kids and I had a blast and they are already begging to build another one!
