Brake lines for 400F bars
« on: May 23, 2015, 02:37:06 AM »
I tried to order from Slingshot Cycles, as he has the exact set-up I need, but apparently they're on vacation and not taking orders at this time.

Can someone tell me the length of the upper hose for a CB550 with CB400F bars? There's a guy on eBay that can make them, but I'm not sure of the length to request.
And while you're at it, if you could tell me the stock length of the lower hose, that would be great, too.

I'm going with ~10" for the upper hose. I tried to measure the set up on my 550F but everything is tucked behind the headlight. That's the closest I could get.

For the 400 the given length is 28 centimetres with the original bars, so I think 10 inches( 25 cm.) wil be a tad short on a 550.....

I'll try to measure again tonight, but I'm pretty sure that's what's on there.

Look locally, there are lots of places who do brake lines. If you have a local stock car track there will be shops that do lines and or have exactly what you want in stock. With that said, I got mine from David Silver Spares.  ;D

I can get rubber lines made right by my house, but I'm looking for braided lines.
