« on: May 23, 2015, 06:23:23 AM »
I have a question to ask. I ordered brake lines from slingshot and i stated that i have dual discs. When i opened my packaged, there was 2 brake lines thats about 10" in length. Should it have came with the brake line from the brake lever to the middle part where the rear brake light plug goes to?

depends on what you ordered ;)
if you want to replace all your lines with dual discs then yes, you will need 3 in total. if you buy them as a kit you get all 3 plus bolts and crush washers.
did you drop shaun an email?

I would have been confused by your order, if that's all the information you provided  :-\

I just added that the coupling to the brake lever be 45 degrees angled and 2" shorter than super bikes

in the first picture, what's in that box is for a single disc.
why don't you just contact shaun at slingshot? he's very helpful.

I ordered two custom length lines from him recently [one for a Kawasaki].
I made a simple drawing showing type of fitting and dimensions.
There were no questions and I received exactly what was ordered.

I got a set of brake lines last spring for a 550F and wanted to eliminate the hard line at the caliper, a quick email before I ordered and I had exactly what I needed in my hands a few short weeks later. Excellent guy and will get lines from him again when the time comes!!  ;D

I am sure you will get it sorted out once you talk with him.

Slingshot brake line order

Hello again. When i got home i checked the lengths.

It seems like the upper line is 2" inches longer than what i wanted.

I asked if they were straight swaps from the factory. He said yes. I asked if i can have them 2" shorter than the superbikes line since i have a cb400f bars on with a gsxr 1000 mc (i have both handle bars). Anyway the biggest issue here is the missing brake line for the other side. Im sure hell take care of that as he has great customer service.

I never knew he does one piece lines from mc straight to dual discs hard line

That's actually a common mod especially for the sportbike crowd, my kid did that to his cbr600 when he put ss lines on his. I'm not sure what the advantage or improvement is but he's happy with it.

Less corners and connections =less chance to trap air bubbles.
