Well I looked at a spare panel that I had siting around the shop and the EXACT same thing is on that one. No bullet connectors just a ring connector. I googled it and only found one thread about it somewhere else but it looks like this may be stock for late model 550s. Now I'm really confused lol

Go back to reply 47 and commence the connection-by-connection testing. You're tracking Red from battery (or solenoid stud in this case) to the key switch. Somewhere along that path, it's dropping out on you.

If you unplug the key switch, does Red have 12v coming from the fuse panel? If so, the problem lies at the key. If not, the problem lies between the plug from the fuse and the solenoid stud.

The red to switch has no power anywhere along the harness. And it also doesn't end up at the solenoid, the solid red from the switch ends up at the fuse pane connection. It's the picture I posted where one solid red has power but the top solid red does not. The solid red that does have power goes into the first in the line of 3 connectors on the panel.

Right in front of my thumb in this picture you will see the red that does have power. Again this comes from the fuse panel, this is the only solid red wire strand with power, the other strand solid red ( that goes to key ) has no power

Well I got it working! Problem is I have no idea what happened. I suspect a loose connection
