well I don't really know where to start . I bought out a guy that was into the old honda 750's and just lost interest and moved on. So I've got two 1976 CB750K supersports ,one 1978 CB750K supersport and a 1977 CB750K and lots of parts A stack of old and new manuals.. some tools two truck load of stuff..some of it is junk some of it is good stuff. anyway, in 1977 at 18 years old I bought my first bike a 1974 CB750K. so the other day my son showed me this stuff on CL "we ought to have a project dad"
so we bought him out. well we got our selves some projects. the plans are to restore the two 76's one is red the other is the infamous sulfur yellow and it's in the best condition of all the bikes. GAS TANKS are going to be an issue.it looks like pretty much
everything is pretty much ok ... any help or hot tips on the gas tanks would be great

here's A couple of photos that I got with my cell.I'll get some more next time I'm in the shop
My son had the day off today,we started looking at what we got. lots of stuff. we got a tank
hooked up to a battery charger with PH+ solution in it.. I've researched all kinds of different thing
people use to clean tanks. the guy we got the bikes from gave me the stuff he said it works great
we'll see and I'll follow up with our results..
we also built a wooden engine stand with wheels got one of the engines on it. this motor was stuck
the top end is off and it's in pretty good condition I'd like to clean the base out good before it's reassembled
any tips here you be great..

the motor in the yellow one runs but that's about it. it needs some work for the road.. gas tank cleaning/coating
carb rebuilds. brakes. that's what id obvious. I'll know more when that stuff is done. I was told by the seller that he had the  77K running at one time. the 78 the motor is stuck and the red 76 the top end is apart. he told me that was also stuck.
the yellow bike only has 11k miles and the red one has 14k miles. I got a gas tank soaking in a solution of prep and etch
if it works great if not I'll try something else..I'll be keeping my eyes open for a tank for the 78.. that tank is shot.
