71 CB750 K1 - No 7 Stamped Bolt Mystery
« on: June 04, 2015, 03:24:30 AM »
I found a No 7 stamped flange head hex bolt lying on the garage floor near my CB750 K1 and for the life of me, I cannot find out where this bolt should be located. There are two of these bolts located either side of the front forks steering column, but a can't find where this missing bolt should be located - any ideas would be appreciated

Looks like a non stock replacement both the one on the bike in the pic and the one in your hand.
If someone has worked on the front end before make sure you have the "D" washers in the gaps where the top fork bolt goes through your upper triple tree or you risk breaking it. Early upper triples are fragile without them  ;)
