FNG from Canal Winchester, OH

So, I have had a few posts but never an intro thread...

I bought my '78 550K a few months ago for $200. It was complete with clubman bars, but in pieces for the most part. the motor was assembled and I was told it was a good platform, but we will see when it finally comes time to fire it up. The frame was without title as it was an AZ bike originally, turned into a doner for a dune buggy/go-kart then back into it's original form. I sourced a frame from a gentleman named Jim, from Cleveland (3 hour one way trip for me) and swapped over the forks, motor, swingarm same day. Then I sourced a generic, old, rusty 4-1 from a user on here. And as I type this out.. that's how it sits.

My plans include:

- upswept, brat style seat
- mini gauges
- drag or moto bars
- shorty, anodized hand controls
- new tires, tune up, chain, etc.
- ride it until i have the funds for complete powder coat and restomod build

I am a young guy with a house, wife, 2 car payments, etc. so the build will be cheap and slow for a few years. But it's a project... if I wanted a new motorcycle, I would have bought one. I understand what the CB is and what it can be if I take my time. I have ZERO fab skills, so I think that will be my biggest hurdle.

Lots of great content and wonderful people on here! Thanks for having me..

I will post a build thread soon.
