I am starting to dial in the carbs, and I feel I am getting closer...

This is what I got so far:

-592ccm
-650 cam
-matched intake/mild porting of head
-power arc ignition
-velocity stacks steel dragon
-yoshi replica carpy
-keihin 069A
-needle at nr 2 original position
-slow jet 40
-main jet 115
-float hight stock
-IMS 1,5 turn out

I will do some more testing with this setup today and see how it works!

Now I have set the needles at top notch, float hight is set at 23mm, slow jet is back to 38 and main jet is 125.
This setup is working great with no studder and smooth accelleration from idle to top.
Very strange about the needle position and slow jet, I think! Maybe the needles and emultion tubes are worn out...?

On the freeway I always try to reach an imaginary 6th gear.......Sure wish I had 6 gears!  ;D

Synching.....

Out to test the latest setup...

Now I will change the oil and adjust the valves again.
Cheers!

Great looking bike.  Nice, clean and not too far from stock.  Well done.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.
