Nice to see some Michigan racing history on this forum!  Given how cheap e85 is, could converting it to run on that instead of meth be possible/practical?

Now I gotta get back to Milan for the Nights of Fire to see the ground pounders do their thing.  Nothing like feeling your organs move around when those guys launch...

I think the price of race fuel is a small part of the cost of getting it down a drag strip.  It could be set up to run on gas, or alcohol , or nitro. ...but I have no plan to get it running.  The Fuel pump needs a $100 rebuild after sitting for 38 years.      Then $300 to recalibrate the fuel system, which would give you jetting sizes for any fuel choice.  It needs new tires, and a copper head gasket to put any boost to it.....PO put it together with a layered gasket.

On the bike you bought the swingarm looks welded in! So there is no height adustment by changing strut length, and how is the front held in..where is your he pivot bolt?
Can you show us a pic of the dohc dragbike behind it..looks pretty cool..

The turbo chassis is all 4130 chromoly except for the lower cradle and the motor mounts...... the swing arm, struts, are all welded solid, it is a work of art!  The seat and side cover mount were surgically removed from the stock frame and Tigged back on the 4130 seat loop.

The DOHC is a car tired CBX Prostock from the late 80's I never finished.......I will refrain from posting CBX pics on a SOHC forum for now.

There is an "OTHER BIKES" section here on this forum. Please post pictures of the CBX there so we can see your progress on that project also. Curious to see more about this bike.

I did not know there is an Other Bikes thread.....I will post PS CBX pics.

Cool Kawasaki for the wife.....looks just like a late 80's PS.

Please post some more pictures of the turbo frame, from stem to stern, without the tank and seat.

Having trouble posting photos today for some reason?

Photobucket works great. Upload to PB, copy the img link, paste here. No size adjustments necessary.

Thank you.
That's pretty slick, right there. Very crafty. All covered up, looks close to a stocker.
Thanks again.

All done except for the wheelie bar.  I found 4130 N for the bar on eBay at a super reasonable price.

The turbo bike has a new home in Tennessee.  New owner will probably get it running and might hit some Man Cup events.  He has the talent to eventually get it in the 8's!
