Here it IS legal to....
« on: June 08, 2015, 06:51:44 PM »
In Vermont:

pass on a double yellow marked lane, if you have a clear line of sight and stay within the speed limit;

carry a concealed weapon without a permit,
own a gun without a permit,
buy/sell without a permit,
point at, or shoot towards someone (as long as you do not wound nor kill that person, it is legal, I believe.
I could be wrong on this point, but......experience has shown this:
while I was in the woods on my property cutting and hauling wood out, my neighbor shot in my direction.
Multiple bullets whized by my person.
Fish and Game, state police, local police all asked IF I was wounded. If not, then there was nothing they could nor would do. I was shocked they did not ask if I were dead).

you can legally eat kale, tofu and vegetables in public. :'(

What about where you are from?

I think in Oklahoma you can be charged for pointing a gun at someone unprovoked.

You have to have a permit to carry, but you can carry it in a holster, visible.

The local music festival made a rule no weapons, someone made a stink about it just to make a point. They changed it to suggesting people don't bring arms, but were not able to forbid their possession.

In North Carolina you must:

Have a permit to own a pistol
Have a seperate permit to conceal carry a pistol
We do not have to have a permit for a rifle or shotgun
Open carry of a pistol is allowed, but frowned upon

We can (and I think most states allow this) run a red light on a motorcycle after waiting 5 minutes and the light hasn't changed in your favor.

And out here in the sticks I can tell you that if there are bullets flying by my person from someone you can be damn sure there will be bullets flying back at them.....  ;)

When I lived in New Hampshire, as i waited at a red light to change for at least 2 minutes, freezing on my XS750 Yamaha at 2am, tired from work, I finally decided with no traffic having passed in all that time....I drove through. Didn't see the cop until the blue lights came on.
He saw me shaking from the cold and invited me into his warm car. We chatted about bikes for 20 minutes or so.

He said he had a yamaha and asked me to go right on red next time and have a good day. ;D

PS. He also thanked me for helping him a few weeks before to catch a drunk driver at around the same hour of the morning.

Corrected that for you.

You are correct sir. I'm assuming VA has the same laws regarding pistols?

Here there is no specified time limit, it just has to be safe and clear. It saves alot of time. Trouble is when I get in a car I want to do the same thing.  I have had cars run the red after I do , also.

Cals wrong,we can buy a gun anytime we want to,also we can open carry but the communists make us get a conceal carry permit and we can run red lights after 2 minutes or 2 rotations of the light

Here in Mo. there is a guy on the news who says he's gonna hold protests at our municipal zoo because they have a no firearms policy. He's from Cincinnati I believe, thinks that it IS legal to, and wants to carry his assault rifle openly inside the zoo confines. I'm NOT anti gun, but c'mon. The Zoo is in a big way, a place for kids to visit and enjoy with their parents. It isn't the wild %$#^n' west. I will get flamed for this probably, so I agree to disagree and will not go any farther. I just think in certain circumstances, some people just need to be told NO. Protests?
OK......AK47 at the Zoo? pushin it a bit. MHO in this circumstance, NOT intended to offend. ;)

In the wild west of Texas, you can shoot and kill someone for breaking into your home.

If they are in my garage and touch my bikes, I'll shoot and drag em inside!

In Illinois we were the last to allow conceal and carry with a permit, there is also a red light law for bikes and that's it everything else is illegal or at least taxed.

Around here if you can find a bar/tavern open on a Sunday you can drink all the alcohol you want but you can't buy and take any home with you. What that means is that you can't buy any alcoholic beverages in a grocery store on Sunday and all liquor stores are closed on Sunday as well BUT you can get blitzed all you want at the bar ....... and then drive home rather than buy it, take it home, park the car (hide the keys) and then get drunk.
