Identify this CB (?) Seat
« on: June 12, 2015, 11:22:55 AM »
I received this seat as an extra when I bought my 75 CB750 Super Sport. The fellow selling said both would fit but everything else he said has been pure excrament. It doesn't seem to fit, which is fine, as I have an original seat too. I'm wondering if anyone can ID this seat and if it should be thrown on eBay.

Thoughts?

Would like to see this thrown on this forum in classified section before eBay, that said I'll let somebody else answer your question.

Not a bad idea. I haven't sold anything here before but I have a solid rep on eBay so hopefully that will be enough trustworthiness.

Should i still try to sell it here? Or is the DOHC status deem it unworthy?

That actually looks like a 75-78 750 F seat without the rear cowl.

I've posted it to eBay. The 79-81 model there looks identical. Its not a 75-76, as I have one of those already and its different. It also doesn't line up anywhere on my 75 frame.

I looking for a complete factory seat in near excellent condition for a 76 cb400f, will trade near showroom condition CB750 factory seat. As long as shipping isn't expensive, or local trade will have to do.

If you look at the link Pewe posted it is identical to this seat. i added a link to the 76 CB550 seat and it is completely different. Looking at the underside pics and top on the 79-81 CB750 it is what he has.

Says it is for K and F though the part # designates K. The 550F and 750F seats look the same, is there a difference?

550f doesn't use the cowl, so I would guess there is some difference
