WTF guys I'd be twitchy about this, if it was here I'd be looking for a nice remote piece of property and stocking up on essentials so I wouldn't have to go to town much and I know that people will say that's crazy but it almost looks like the start of the decline.

I always wonder if any of  these people who "go postal" have actually had to deal with near the amount of bovine excrement  I  might have to deal  with on a daily basis.

A famous gentleman once said, referring to a trip to Dallas, that he was entering "Nut country".

He got shot dead the very next day.

The very man.

On the other hand I thought it to be a rather interesting town. The TV series was much better though.

When I lived in El Paso, some fool loaned me a .38 revolver for a few weeks. There wasn't a cactus anywhere near my home that was not riddled with slugs. That taught them a fine lesson.

I should never be trusted with a firearm.

Well from my stand point you can see a logical progression, an arms race between bad guys and cops Sherman's versus Lav's why #$%* around with shot guns, uzi's, and pistols I mean every one can have those, go for fire power, there'll be tanks disappearing off of plinths, a whole new meaning to "open carry".

Never bring macho to a gunfight!  ;) I carry a gun because cops are too heavy  :-X

It is a saddening time to witness this type of social unrest, especially here in the states. Our politicians haven't done us any favors, and public outcry has been overdone at times too. I'm just glad I have motorcycles to keep me from it all. And you fine gents globally, to keep me sane  :)

A while ago i read an article about the Target Shop in Dallas Texas asking customers not to wear guns in there store. Apparently it didn't sit real well with the mob that like rifles slung over their shoulder and guns on hips. Could you imagine working in that shop wearing your red T Shirt with the white circles on the back or worse still ,wearing those cute little antlers on your head at Christmas time, you'd be a sitting duck.

A local business owns a hardware store and a gun shop next door. I entered the hardware store for some stuff and was going to the gun store after to have my gun worked on.
The owner of the hardware store asked me to not open carry in her store.

hmmmm.......

I complied, as I don't think it is a good idea to make people uncomfortable, but.....

peace,

Same here. Unless you are law enforcement or some other job that requires you to strap you WANT to carry. You don't have to for your common safety.

I have a conceal carry permit here in VA, and exercise that right almost every day.  It makes me nervous to see someone other than a cop open carry, and someone with an AR slung over their shoulder with a magazine in the well makes me nervous too.  If you want to carry a pistol, get a conceal carry permit, unless of course there's some reason you couldn't get a conceal-carry permit.  And if you want to carry a long gun, make sure it's unloaded in a public place.  And those are nut jobs that carry their loaded long guns into stores like Target, Starbucks, etc.  Those clowns are giving the rest of us conceal-carry types a bad name...
