HD Wheels

I'm not sure if I should ask this here, or how it will be received, but here goes. Can Harley wheels be put on CB750 lower legs, or on the rear for that matter? If so does anyone have any experience doing this? Does anything need to be changed? Axels, bearings??

Yes with bushings HD wheels can be used on metric bikes.  I have done it many times for less than $50 - $75 a wheel.

'78 750. I don't have specific wheels yet. I guess the front is the main concern. I'm going to put a weld on hard tail section, so I can order the rear section how ever I want it.

Most rear wheels from big twins into at least the 90,s and maybe still are 3/4 inch.  A smidge smaller than a 750 axle..less than a mm difference..so you should be good to go..
 Mostly 5 bolt stuff and usually dished sprockets..  And Timken tapered bearings.

Harley uses 3/4in, 1in, and 25mm sealed bearings in 2000+ years so none of those will work.

A 1978 CB750 uses a 17mm front axle so you will need to get yourself two conversion bushings made to go from 17mm ID to 25.4mm OD to fit into a 1" HD bearing wheel, or machined to 25mm OD to fit an ABS 25mm bearing Harley wheel.

Just find a bearing with 17mm Honda ID and the Harley bearing OD... ;)
