About half the time when wearing my electric vest I forget to unplug it when getting off the bike. If I had one of those I'd probably go thru a lot of CO2 cartridges.
That's one of the things I was thinking would be a problem. The other big problem is: though your torso is protected, what about the flailing arms and legs? I guess you could at least survive with one of those vests....
The most fatal injuries we see are head and torso. Although major complications and death *can* occur from extremity injuries; it's the head and torso where most of the deadly stuff happens.
Wasn't thinking of fatalities resulting from injuries to the extremities, but the loss thereof
I have noticed that in alot of crash videos (and my own spills riding trails) that most of the impact would be concentrated on the torsal area (I've usually ended up on my back first thing).
Good info to know, though.
Incidently, what time of year have you found to be the busiest as far as crashes and such? Most stats point to winter, just wondering.
