I saw some TV show that said that England had those made for WW2 handicapped servicemen.  I suppose other countries had them, too.
Would the bikes be the right age WW2?

I would have said that those trikes were 1950's or 1960's vintage, looks like Puch or Jawa/Cz parts used? I reckon I could build a lightweight version using bicycle parts and a motorised bicycle engine, hmmnnn, I can feel another project coming on......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

The first one 60ties, the second one late seventies - there were not many made, few hundred maybe.
