Exploded diagram for 78 cb550 carb
« on: May 26, 2005, 04:17:47 PM »
Does anybody have an exploded view of a 78 cb550 carb for rebuilding?  I am getting a haynes manual for my bike(cb550f 76) but my carbs are newer and I have read on the site that they are not covered in the manuals.  There are a lot more parts in the kits then what I saw when I had them apart.  Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Shawn

Hi Shawn, according to my Haynes manual, the cb550 cxarbs are the same type as the cb400 except that they are 22m/m instead of 20m/m. If you are in a rush waiting for your manual I could scan the diag and eMail it to you. Let me know. Cheers, John.

Shawn - go to the Manuals FAQ and download the 550F/K stuff.  The carbs on my K3 are totally different from the F models.

tintin has a 300Mb high quality scan of this manual whch is available on CD (PM him) or for download from here:

Thanks for the replies and the help.  I' ll be getting my manual in about a week and my carb kits shortly after.  Thanks for the offers to send the info.  One problem of many solved.

Thanks,
Shawn
