Suggest you pm Terry or Timbo. I'm sure both can give recommendations for mechanic in Melbourne area.

No, Members "Terry in Australia", "Bear", "maduncle" and "Timbo" are all in Melbourne, you don't need to join the Aussie forum to find what you need, I'd even go as far as to say, there's far more expertise on this site, better parts availability and far cheaper prices.... ;)

Fair call retro.
I don't hear from terry on here much lately.
I bought his past Jan 2012 botm blue k2.
Wish really that I knew also the others (sohc members) you've mentioned. I'm only an hour away in geelong outer zone. Have minimal mechanic experience too which makes it tough with a classic 750/4.
Really want to do a dual disc conversion.(anyways sorry to hack new comers queries).
Don't know many good 750/4 mechanics here unfortunately.
Anyways, bet the weather is a bit warmer up your way. Had .7 of a degree 7am here in central Victoria this morning. 8)

Thanks retro.
I looking in wrong places. I need to look up users via name and post updates.
Honestly I just "clock it" daily on the general tech forum to see
the day's posts about once.
Gets a bit addictive ay  ;D
