Would you ride the A,T and SF?
« on: June 21, 2015, 05:34:45 AM »
I'm posting this here to avoid any misunderstanding about the Russ Collin's Sorcerer and A,T and SF being restored but I still have to ask this question. Once the A,T and SF has been restored and operational, just exactly who is going to have enough balls to ride it and will it be a full race prepped WOT pass or just an exhibition pass? The reason I ask is because I remember when I was a young teen and RC first built the Sorcerer, if I remember correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong) his main reason for retiring the A.T and SF was because it was such a godawful handful of a bike to control in fact the article I read at that time said his inspiration to build the Sorcerer was while setting in a hospital recuperating from injuries he sustained from a crash on the A,T and SF. If the A,T and SF was enough to scare the hell out of RC to the point that he parked it then who's got the nerve to ride it once it's operational again?

I'm not debating the bikes significance or whether it should or shouldn't be restored, I'm just asking ....... would you ride it?

I takes some serious balls just to ride a T/F bike in the first place, with that said I wouldn't have the balls to ride the Sorcerer let alone the A,T and SF ......... but I really would like to at least hear them run again. :)

I thought I read that Mr. Collins Jr. and a brother will ride the bikes in eighth mile exhibition runs(?)..
I know I'll go see it if it comes to my area. I can only wish I had an ounce of the kind of ability required to ride something like that.

Only the baddest, 12 cyl (triple) SOHC monster ever built, that held the 1/4 mile record that stood for twelve years!  :o

and almost killed it's rider!

Oh yeah, I'm with Jerry...

HELL YEAH I'd ride it! Yes, I am insane (but I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested). Definitely less than full throttle, I couldn't afford to fix it!  :o  ;)  ;D
