Hi all,

Just want to show some recent work I did over the weekend to my 78' CB750F...Swapped out my forks for 07' GSXR 750 forks as well as my spoked wheels from cognitomoto. Let me know what you think! Still need to get rid of that god-awful seat, paint my tank, and redo my electronics with a motogadget m-unit.

Went with a 160/60 rear tire and 120/70 front, both fit perfectly.

F frame and engine with a K gas tank.  I'm curious as to why you didn't stay with a F gas tank?

Bodacious rear wheel.  What type of offset sprocket are you going to use -- Cognitomoto?

Quite honestly I think the F tank looks hideous, its reminiscent of a shoebox..Too long and boxy, I love the look of the rounded tanks with the flip-caps especially with the pounded out knee dents. I tried a offset rear sprocket from cognitomoto but the issue was that my rear hub (off a '76 F) didn't have long enough studs to hold both the sprocket and the spacer so I went with the one-piece offset sprocket from cyclexchange (pic below..fit great!). However, I am using a 10mm offset front sprocket from cognitomoto.

That build is beautiful and that paint job does a lot to hide the looks of the box, that being said, I still find the rounded look much more reminiscent of the cafe racer look. Great build or not I'd still say that tank has to go. I'm surprised people on here actually like it, I didn't think I'd get this response lol. That being said....anyone want to buy my old one??  ;)

I'd take one for the team and use one of those icky old F tanks.

Retro,

Yes, that seat is entirely stock. I'd be more than happy to part with it as well :)

As for the chain question, I haven't put the chain on yet because I haven't been able to get the front sprocket cover off..Those screws are really corroded in there and I didn't have the time to go out and buy an impact screwdriver. When I get the offset front sprocket on there I'll measure and let you know!
