about to throw in the towel

I have two stripped bolts on my 750K3 clutch cover.  I have tried everything.  Extractor, dremel and bigger screwdriver, and most recently JB weld. They won't budge and the JB just snaps with any torque.  I need suggestions.  I do not have a welder, the garage has no electricity, and there is very little material of the heads left.  Is my best bet to take it to a shop, break them loose, reinstall new bolts that I could take off when I get home?

an impact wrench with JIS tips would have been useful from the get-go, but for now. . .
drill the tops off
pull the cover off
turn out the remaining bolt shafts with some vice grips after you've treated the threads with some PB blaster overnight.

How far in are you putting the extractor?  When I've had to use extractors before, you have to really drill into the bolt so they can bite.  The fact that you have any of the head left at all sounds like the extractor wouldn't be able to get enough purchase to actually turn the bolt.  I'd drill way into the bolt and really get that extractor in there.  Make sure the tip of the extractor isn't bottoming out at the end of the drilled hole.

sounds like you are trying to extract the bolts with the cover still on.  As flybox said, no reason to.

The bolts have very little head left because of the extractors.  Started small and made my way to the largest, stripping all the way. Managed to drill the head off of one.  The other had a bit of slat on it still, so I gave it a whack with my screwdriver and mallet trying to break it off, and it broke loose.  Got it unscrewed with my needle nose.

Cover is off and the one remaining bolt has the PB treatment.  Thank you so much guys.  Now to find something to knock the ear down on this washer....

Go pick up an impact driver. No one ever said, "I wish I never bought this impact driver."

I can guarantee these will not be the last stuck bolts you run into.

Don't throw in the towel yet...the fun is just starting! ::)

I got this set and it paid for itself on the very first project I tackled after it arrived. Changed the valve seals on my '78 550K which had not been touched since the bike was built. The JIS bits were a god-send! Well worth the investment.

This was normal back in the days when I still had the crappy X-bolts, all replaced by Allen heads.
Drill head off completely is quick and easy done when you have done the first and know how to do.
Start with a smaller drill to get a good start in the center of the bolt. Then go bigger and bigger until the drill has same diameter as the head outer dim.  You need a good drilling machine and sharp drills.

Use together with vacuum cleaner when drilling inside like the 4 X-bolts inside the gear shifter cover, alu stuff holing an axis.

The one remaining bolt is seized pretty good. Vice grips were just pulling threads off.  Going to charge my dremel and see about making a new slot in it for a screwdriver.  Or would double nut work?

 If you can double nut it, do that. After putting the nuts on, tap on the end with a hammer just enough to shock it loose.
 I like to hold a little torque on it and then tap, usually it pops right out.

Also, put a wrench on the double but and add a bit of torque while you hit the head with the hammer. Old school impact driver.

Now that you've got the cover off the bolts are gone, buy allen heads and be done with the JIS. Start replacing all the screws with allen heads you won't regret it later.

I bought 10 new stainless Allen bolts last week.  This is the most expensive clutch replacement I've ever done, also the longest. It's taken over a week so far, and the clutch nut socket won't be here til Monday at the earliest.

I think anyone who doesn't automatically use anti seize on a bolt they just spend an hour or more trying to remove is just not using common sense. I never have enough anti seize or LocTite around.

Exactly, haha.  I need to go buy some, but it'll probably be at least another week before this damn clutch job is done.
