clutch rattle upgrade
« on: October 22, 2006, 01:53:09 PM »
I have done searches but can find no technical description of the clutch rattle upgrade for a 72-750. Has anyone actually done it and does it work? Does it work with my barnett clutch plates? Thank You

It works but not with a Barnett plate set up. There was a "Wrench" Honda update on the old board. I have a paper copy. Someone have it on their hard drive?

If you mean the Honda bulletin, I have a copy as a PDF file. It's about 500K. I can eMail a copy to you.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Thank You Bob, I understand now what to do but do not see why it would not work with barnett fiber plates. Would I need to get new honda fiber plates along with the new special metal plate? Dan

Dan,

Can't answer your question. I've not done the mod, just happened to have squirreled away a copy of the bulletin, sorry.

You can try it with the barnett plates but the extra plate clutch packs have thinner frictions than OEM which will give you a wierd stack height.
