The frame was in decent shape with mostly 40+ years of grease and minor rust in a few areas. I repainted it with Dupli Colour High Build Gloss Black enamel paint. It is a really solid paint that applied easily and covers very well. It is chemical resistant and seems to have a fairly tough finish once fully cured.
The battery box was in rough shape, yet some detailed wire wheel work and the box still had lots of meat left in the metal, so it came out well. Honda still sells the rubber bumper pads, so I refreshed all the rubber bits in there to complete the work.
