1973 CB 350F Last winter restoration project

A few pictures of a winter restoration that I have now on the road. Planning to keep this season and sell next year. I like to try all variety of Honda bikes for restoration and I am currently working on a 1982 CB 900C and then a 1976 GL1000 Goldwing.

The bike was taken down to the bare frame and then restored. I didn't touch the motor as it ran well and had solid compression across all 4 cylinders. I installed the H4 headlight and dual filament front signals and the relay mod for the new headlight.

Carbs were fully rebuilt and new Avon tires tubes and rims trued.

Very clean restoration.  Perhaps you can post your progress pictures of the build so we can have a better visual of what work went into the build.

CB 350F Cooling fin repair

Here are a few pictures of the engine when I first removed it from the bike.

It had some damage on the right side cylinder head with two fins pretty well broken off and I refabricated two new fins from a wire scaffold I made after drilling into the side of the broken fins. I am not a great one for taking pictures, so I don't have the wire frame that I made up prior to covering with a high temperature metal epoxy. It took the engine paint well and has so far withstood the heat cycling of a few weeks of riding.

Frame work and battery box

The frame was in decent shape with mostly 40+ years of grease and minor rust in a few areas. I repainted it with Dupli Colour High Build Gloss Black enamel paint. It is a really solid paint that applied easily and covers very well. It is chemical resistant and seems to have a fairly tough finish once fully cured.

The battery box was in rough shape, yet some detailed wire wheel work and the box still had lots of meat left in the metal, so it came out well. Honda still sells the rubber bumper pads, so I refreshed all the rubber bits in there to complete the work.
