It ain't over till I say it's over
« on: October 22, 2006, 04:21:20 PM »
My 750 was filthy and it's been bugging me so I decided to wash it this morning and of course then fiqured I'd best go for a little toot to get rid of all the moisture. It was cold but sunny when I left and then so did the sun! I'm very rural here and it felt odd riding with the remains of the 2- 3" of snow we received Friday night as well as the smell of wood smoke rising from a few chimneys. I managed around fifteen miles and the bike ran like a top, but my thumbs & knees were plenty numb by the time I got back!
It was 3.5 degrees, I hope this is just a short lived cold snap.

Time to see the ski-doo dealer and get someheated hand grips.. should do the trick. One of my CB750K's has a Vetter Faring not too bad riding in colder weather, the other I still have to bring home from my friends bike shop... Inspection was due. Hope for one more day over 45 or so.. Later..

No, I won't do the heated grips thing, but do expect like you to get another ride or two in at better temperatures. Did you get that snow Friday night?

We had the 4 letter word here on Friday and Sunday but it was nice on Saturday and I managed to get a short ride in then.

The snow has disappeared, but it is colder than normal for the time being, We need the jetstream to make an abrubt turn north!

Actually I lived in Vancouver for a couple years (maybe not far enough west huh) and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. In 76 I think I started riding in January, of course didn't have a car! The summers are superb but I prefer a cold & sunny winter season over what Vancouver experiences.

Don't tempt me. I've been to the Rockies (Alberta) twice now and could never get enough of it.
