Stik.an , if you have some more frame paint...
Swing the back of your sidecovers up till parallel to seat, make new mounts... Think it will look good, with lrast amount of work.

I'm not too fussed about the covers at this point.  I have enough other things to work on and unless you stand there staring at them I don't think you really notice them anyway.

Nixon, you should start a thread and post some pics of your bike.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see it.

Just an update on how the bike looks these days.  Running some T-bars I welded up a few years ago.  I think they work well, and they make for a different riding stance than the 6-bends.  I rebuilt a 21" front wheel off an 80's KDX250 and built a twisted brake stay for the drum on it.  I cut down and slimmed up a front fender which has helped compared to no fender at all, and it's still pretty invisible.  Slash cut the pipes.  Also installed a few other little goodies like twisted chrome extended kickstand and finned covers.  And I'm now running the Hondaman transistorized ignition with good results.

Here's a little clip of it at the local drag strip:

Welded up some new bars for it this summer.

And have it parked inside now for the winter.

Cheers, Bill.  Frees up a bit of space in my small shop this winter for sure.

The latter, however she loves having my "art on display" since she knows the time I put into it.  My bike might be a bright, shiny thing but my wife is the real gem.

Wow! very nice chopper build. Awesome work, I love the look of those '70's choppers. Just haven't had the guts yet to depart from stockers. Any more pics of your brothers bike? it looks great as well.

I would be interested to see more details of how the frame was modded.

ps are you gonna rename it now after fitting the smaller rear wheel? 'Little Horse'? Smaller Horse? ;)

Cheers bud.  Here's a more current pic of his bike.  It's pretty much a stock frame, the stance comes from the 12 over fork tubes, 16" rear wheel, and 10" rigid struts.  As for the High Horse, the name was a double entendre anyway so it'll keep it.  ;)

Very nice indeed. Although I'd prob last about 5 minutes with those rear "shock absorbers"  :D. Love the look of the bike though!
