I have a 1975 CB550k and I took my bike to a shop to get inspected and they said that my cam chain is off 1 tooth. THey said that they would need to take apart the engine to realign it and that would roughly take 5-6 hours of labor. I've been searching and came across this posting and was wondering if all I needed to do was to set the engine at TDC and rotate it 15 degrees and then loosen the self adjuster nut so the chain will reset itself.
